SCHEDULED TO RECOMMEND FOREST MANAGEMENT OPTION
Following a year of extensive and collaborative stakeholder-driven planning, a Board of Forestry subcommittee considering management plans for northwest Oregon state forests is scheduled to recommend one of two forest management options at its Monday, September 29 meeting.
Subcommittee members are scheduled to review materials and products produced during the Alternative Forest Management Plan process, revisit management goals, and formulate a recommendation to the Board of Forestry on strategies for a revised forest management plan for northwest Oregon. The Board of Forestry is scheduled to consider this recommendation at their November 5, 2014 meeting in Portland.
Public comment opportunities are available, approximately, at 11:15 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. All meeting materials, including the Science Review Report and draft options, are available on the ODF Board Subcommittee meeting webpage here.
