Work + multiple backpacking trips this summer, including a 6 nighter in the Eagle Cap Wilderness.

My summer has been spent mostly trying to get some stuff done around the house. I'm still way behind from when I was down with my legs and everyday it seems something else needs repair.

That said.....

I have been finding some time to kill fish with friends. Fall Chinook starts on the 1st of August and then most everything will go on hold and I won't sleep well or be very productive at work till it's over. :D

Some pictures of a pretty good day with Cayton and 2 non racing friends.

I'm trying to finish the Deck that Pat Handley convinced my wife we needed to build.

Pat Handley Landscaping did a great job of the design and the structure, Lariet Roofing (Russ Manning) did and great job on the roof, and Gary DeWinter did a great job on the trim and finish carpentry. Trying to keep everyone I ride with in new bikes while I can't afford one now.

Working a full time job, working a part time job, 12 credits of classes. My only fun is this marathon training and you can guess how much fun it is to get up at 5 AM to go run 10+ miles before I go to work or school........
You may all go to hell, and I'll go to Texas.

With the Nuggets loving the slopes, I'm already planning my Winter and updating my gear (current board is from '93, so I'm due). This should do nicely:

I can't believe how expensive these things are when you're not getting a pro deal. A board and bindings = my mortgage payment.

Mudpie, we need to talk. My last semester of undergrad I took 21 credits and worked. Still managed to be on the lake several days a week. Sure, it was the worst semester GPA of my college career (I still have nightmares about skipping some phantom class and completely forgetting about the class until the evening before the final), but it was the best Summer ever.
