E-Ticket. I plan on following this guide very closely when I change my valve shims on my 2008 KTM 250 SXF. There are subtle differences that I will adhere to using my bikes specifications. A couple of questions though: When checking valve clearances do you place your feeler gages between the cam base circle and the rocker or between the rocker and the valve shim? I measured my valve clearances between the rocker and the valve shims but would have much rather done it between the cam base circle and the rocker as it is much easier to access. The other question is on procedure #49 relating to the chain tensioner. From your post
"49) Verify that the inner section of the CCT sticks out ~ 3.0 mm ( .012") from the outer body of the CCT."
I wanted to be absolutely sure you meant 3.0 mm (.120") not .012".

I find myself at this post because my manual is very short on the automatic chain tensioner instructions.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Mr E-Ticket,
Your a gentleman and a scholar. I applaud you and bid you adieux. Your ability to write so that I can follow along and successfully complete the instructional without some kind of stomach bleed is truly an art form and you should be proud. I want to say thank you, it's been a pleasure and I mean that. The best on the web by a considerable margin in my humble opinion.

Just parked the Wee Beasty for a while so I could focus on some issues that needed full attention.

Plan to be back ridin' and contributin' before too long.

Cheers! E-Ticket
