Hey ET, just wanted to stop in and say, "I have come back to this thread a bunch over the past couple years. This thread you have written is my favorite one on the internet! Because of you, I am now fully aware of all things on my KTM 350 EXC-F. I'm not afraid to take it apart and put it back together anymore. I attribute it to your confidence boosting thread you have here on this forum. Hope all is well with you! Heres to another awesome (hopefully dry) summer coming up here in the PNW! Cheers!"

Way cool, boss. :D

Someone was asking when I might do a section on repacking my Akropovic muffler.
Hmmm .... probably not until later next winter.

But I went ahead and picked this up to get ready:

Greetings from Colorado E-Ticket!
I have read and re-read your valve adjustment instructions, and feel they are the best ever documented.
I want to finally do the job and just the text will probably be enough - but man, the pictures are awesome...will they be back?

Howdy! Happy to hear that it's been helpful. :D

As for the PhotoBucket drama .... they just up and whammed everyone by blocking *any* 3rd-party hosting.
And there was no warning at all -- just "BLAM!" -- right out of the blue.
I can understand them wanting to move to a revenue-based model ... but this wasn't the way to make it happen.

I'm still trying to understand what my options are moving forward -- but initial investigation looks like
they're asking me to pony up $400 a year for my Wee Beasty pics to appear. .... ](*,)

Still checking things out ... will reply back when I learn/understand more.
In the meantime, I am truly sorry about leaving peeps high-n-dry.

Does anyone happen to have a .PDF / screenshot of those entire thread with the pics? I want to do the de-smogifying but would like to see the pics.

That would be awesome if someone had a PDF of the thread with Photos, Or if there was another solution to bypass the Photobucket issue… I recently acquired a 350 EXC and this thread looks amazing and is very well written. Just much more useful with Photos! I’m about to do my first valve adjustment on a motorcycle ever and there are some other resources out there but nothing looks as thorough as this. Just wish I could see those photos.

My focus this summer/fall/early winter was totally focused on a big foundation upgrade for our house.
It just took over our lives (and pocketbooks). So a lot of other things just got parked.

I haven't totally thrown in the towel on figuring out a "work-around" ... just haven't had the spare time.
Hopefully before long, I'll be able to spend some time on a solution.

Cheers, E-Ticket

Thanks for the update E-Ticket. I know I would be willing to donate / contribute to help get the pics back. Maybe others as well? I am also a tech savvie software consultant and could give some pointers on other solutions if desired. Like OneDrive gives an automatic 1 TB with an Office 365 subscription. However, I don't know if there are limits on views of shared pics.

Many thanks for the kind offer, sir. If it comes to that, we may pass the hat a bit between here and KTMTalk.
I have the same issue over there as well. :^(
I'm hoping to come up with a solution -- but if it comes to that, we may try it (pending Admin's approval, of course) for just
a couple of months so peeps could print off their favorite sections or tutorials.

Thanks for the head's-up on the OneDrive ... might check that out.
The bigger PITA is trying to figure out what pictures went where and having to re-embed the links all over again.
Which would be a HUGE PITA. Ach ... such is life, eh. :^)

Film at 11:00. Hopefully.

Yes sir. That would be the PITA matching pics to posts! Happy to donate time on that front as well.

E-Ticket

I have really enjoyed this thread. It’s very informative. I know you are busy but I thought of a picture solution. What if you made a YouTube video of all the pictures in the order they appeared in this thread. Have them show for 5 seconds or so each so a viewer would have time to pause and view. Maybe have an index too. Or maybe a video of this thread post by post followed by the corresponding picture.

There are probably plenty of tech savvy guys here who could assist.

viewtopic.php?f=41&t=11425: Tawmass post on how to post YouTube and Vimeo videos.

Maybe the reverse of the Photobucket ransom will happen. You’ll get so many YouTube hits they send you checks.

I tried the Chrome solution but no luck on my iPad.

As far as PITA finding your pics corresponding to each post. As the poster if you right click your picture the address should come up then go to your photo bucket account and find it. Maybe as poster owner you can do that unless Photo bucket really sabotaged it.

Finally “AYHIN” so True!
