Bridge building Diamond Mill June 8th

Postby tdewitt » Mon Jun 02, 2014 6:38 am

It is good to hear from you! Yes, we are going to replace the current user built alder log stringer bridge on Trail #119 with a Douglas Fir log stringer bridge. We will be using framing hammers, crow bars, chain saws, sledge hammer m(ODF), post driver (ODF), drill motor and bits (ODF), shovels (ODF), Pulaski (ODF), McCleod (ODF), Hazel Hoes (ODF), ST240 with winch (ODF), to remove the old failing bridge and replace if using logs from a wind fallen Douglas Fir near that site.

Our 0800 meeting place will be at the southwest end of Trail #119 and the Diamond Mill Rd on June 8, 2014. This is also the east end of the Diamond Mill Ridge Trail #112. It is approximately MP 3.5 on the Diamond Mill Ridge Rd.
