Went out yesterday with Lyon and a trail elf and did some trail mods with the rock drill, plus brush clearing. The weather was actually quite good once we broke through the fog, otherwise it was just overcast - perfect weather for sweat work! There was a couple rock sections where riders weren't riding over correctly with enough speed, then would slide their rear tire over the trail edge, therefore ruining an otherwise perfect trail. (I need to write up something about proper trail use in the future!) We put the hurt to the rock sections with the rock drill and now have a simple, benched section of rock through the trail. We also did some brush clearing. It's hard to believe how fast the brush starts taking over a trail without maintenance!
You don't stop riding because you grow old, you grow old because you stop riding.
