Re: OBDR in a Full Size Truck?
Hey Ace, did you put a up a trip report? I'm thinking of doing it with a buddy but I've got a fullsize Tundra and not really looking to pinstripe it yet (Shes a 2015 haha)
Thanks
Thanks

No, I'm not much for writing a trip report and I'm even worse at taking pictures. It's a long drive and some is slow going. It's great though, the country changes quite a bit between Lakeview and Delintment Lake (where I ended up). You will pinstripe your truck, there is almost no doubt, but they won't be scratches in the paint as much as marks in the clear coat that will, for the most part, buff out. Make sure you have good tires. Street tires will take a beating and you will spin them (some dry short climbs). I smoked my left rear brake (don't know if it stuck or what) and it got really hot on some of the mountain descents. Remember to downshift so you don't overwork the brakes. My truck is heavy.
My truck is a F250 with 34" BFG Mud Terrain tires, front and rear limited slip differentials with a Four Wheel camper.
There is a rocky section that will work the suspension for miles, small rocks, but jarring.
If your Tundra is 4x4, it'll be fine.

Re: OBDR in a Full Size Truck?
We made it down route 3 of the OBDR. Original plan was to go from Hoodoo to Crescent lake, then over on route 4, then up route 5, but we barely made it through 200miles of route 3 in two days. It was slow going at times, but well worth it. Super dry and dusty and some silt was about a foot deep but what an experience! Definitely want to try this on my bike.
It was pretty tight like you said in some spots, but all of the pinstripes buffed out of the truck. Worth it...
