The 19th Annual 2010 Black Dog 2-Day Dualsport Ride

Postby Tawmass » Tue May 04, 2010 11:21 am

Hope to see a bunch of you at this year's Black Dog on June 5-6! I've submitted all the proposed routes to the landowners, along with the plethora of other paperwork, so now I'm getting the actual fun stuff started. Unless we're snowed out again, we plan on making one day's ride up into the Gifford Pinchot N.F. and the other day into Mt. Hood N.F. As always, we change the routes every year.

I/we have been working hard over the winter to open up some great single track trail for you A-level riders, plus we are putting more focus into the adventure-bike routes for you peeps on the big boy bikes. As always, we try to have something for everyone, plus great comaraderie the entire time.

Hope to see ya'll there and email me if you have any questions.
Ride on,
-Tom Niemela

I heard a rumor that if you bring a case of 1800 Reposado Tequila you are guaranteed a trophy.

That is not a viscious rumor - it's true! And if you bring Anejo, you have higher odds of winning the cash prize!

PS: don't forget the OJ as mix!

What are people running for tires? How much asphalt are we talking about for the "A" group?

How about my trials rear, cool? Not familiar with the terrain over there. I can slap my knobby on if necessary.

On the short stints of tarmac, the trials tire will disintegrate unfortunately. Go with an intermediate terrain bumpy tire. :D

Yes unfortunately - I'm bummed too, although won't miss the herds of mosquitos.
