Track recording

Postby JR61F » Tue Mar 01, 2016 9:39 am

I know I'm going to get a lot of criticism for not just getting a GPS unit(Tom), I'm not that serious about it. I just like hitting record, shoving the phone in my pack and going. I'm not a plated rider but I lust like knowing where I went, I also use the phone for work(along side the garman) marking reroutes or new trail construction. Surprisingly the phone has proven very accurate when put side by side once you get the settings dialled. So as of April 30 for some stupid reason Google is discontinuing MyTracks. :-({|=

My question.....Is there an Android app that compares well to MyTracks that anyone uses? I've uploaded Backcountry Naviator which seems nice and I like that you can upload trailmaps, but not a big fan of the setup.

I use Backcountry Navigator and although I've used one or two other apps, I can't remember what they are. I liked BN better.

Hmm, there were a couple links I found on Advrider for .gpx files. If I run across it again, I'll let you know.
