Everyone has there own personal preference as to what tire they like to use, but I used a Michelin M12 front/ Maxxis IT rear last year, and I thought they worked very, very well.

The Ridge has been known to grow a few rocks here and there...A few high speed rocks mixed in with lose sliders too! Mostly hard pack with an ocassional bike sucking sink hole you didnt see mixed in with the dust or the grass(really). Good berms surrounded by square edge acceleration and rolling braking bumps later in the race. Short story is there is no one tire but I trust my Dunlop MX51's, tough and work good too!
