Google 3D Satellite Software........They bought Keyhole

Postby Hotrodvw » Tue Jul 19, 2005 8:53 pm

As some of you may know Google bought Keyhole a few months ago. Keyhole was 3-D satellite mapping software that was fee based. Google improved the software and offers the basic version for free. For $20 a year, you can plot your GPS tracks in the software as well as a few other nifty features. TerraServer doesn't even compare to this software. If you're into mapping, you have to check this out:

Rich,
I've checked that out and it is indeed awesome! I haven't downloaded the GPS onto one of their maps yet, but one of the guys at my recent Black Dog Ride emailed me one (below). How cool is that?! :)

You don't stop riding because you grow old, you grow old because you stop riding.
