Re: Hangover Scrambles Jan 1st @ Washougal!

Dan, that is exactly what we did. The cut off time was 60 minutes and we gave everyone a realistic time to get their last lap in. We intended the realistic time to be ten minutes initially, based on last years lap times. We quickly observed that this years lap times would be much longer, so we exten...

Re: Hangover Scrambles Jan 1st @ Washougal!

If you sent them out for the lap than you should be counting that lap. If you are not counting it then why are you letting them back out. Also if the sweep rider came through in front of them than he is not a sweep rider. The whole point of final sweep is to guarantee that the course is clear, and ...

Re: Hangover Scrambles Jan 1st @ Washougal!

Hey it could have been worse, I stopped early because my pace would have put my last lap finishing about 2 minutes past the one hour mark and since they effed everyone over last year I figured they would probably do the same this year and throw out the everyone's last lap. When in doubt take anothe...

Re: Hangover Scrambles Jan 1st @ Washougal!

The race is scored based on how many laps you finish within a 60 minute time frame. At 60 minutes we throw the checkered flag and send out the sweep rider. Since those out on the course would have no way to know that the checkered flag has flown, we continue to run the timer until the sweep rider re...

Come check out the new JCTRA Forums!

JCTRA once again has it's own online forum! We went away from having our own forums for several years mainly due to some issues with our website software...but now it's back with modern software and a different look. We hope that as riders join the forum it will become a communications hub for all t...

Re: somewhere to get my guad dirty

The only significant place that I know that is open is Tillamook State forest...Browns Camp.
There's also Hood River County...info here: http://www.co.hood-river.or.us/index.as ... BASIC&SEC={7DA2793D-5DB7-4C5E-AA66-FA28925E66E2}

Re: 2015 JCTRA Hangover Scrambles, January 1st @ Washougal..

This year it froze for several days before thawing slightly for the event. Where it appeared there was nice dirt on top, in many spots there was a thick layer of ice underneath.

Re: Jones Creek area

Yes, it is definitely a race...and I'm not much of a racer either.
We had a significant quad class many years ago when I first got involved... but the last 3-4 years it has shrunk quite a bit.
Thanks though.

Re: Jones Creek area

Sorry to crash your thread guy but I have a question for you. Why do you think the quad presence, both sport and especially utility at the Hangover Scrambles has bee steadily dwindling every year? At this rate it won't me too much longer before it won't be worth having a race slot for them... Curiou...

Re: 2015 JCTRA Hangover Scrambles, January 1st @ Washougal..

We haven't made that decision quite yet, but most likely the quads will run a course similar to the amateurs...meaning they will have the option to go around (the long way) or go over the obstacles.
We probably won't make that decision until race day as weather and other factors will apply.

This year we have several sponsors. Bent Lever Motorsports, Rocky Mountain ATV/MC, Les Schwab, Pro Motion Suspension, Clark County Excavating.
Why do you ask?

2015 JCTRA Hangover Scrambles, January 1st @ Washougal...

Once again the 2015 JCTRA Hangover Scrambles is being held January 1st at Washougal MXP. You may notice that we've altered the schedule in a couple of ways this year. We moved the time slot for the big amateur race to a later slot in the day to allow more time to get everyone registered. We also com...

Re: Road Wreck.....can this be prevented?

In most cases the riders are just as guilty of the car/truck drivers. We put the speed limit signs up a few years ago (in cooperation with the DNR) because the wimpy little posts they used to be on never lasted more than a few months before being destroyed. The new ones seem to be sticking around......
