Daily Astorian Series on ODF Forest management, including OHV use
Fellow riders,
The attached URL provides a link to a series of articles that appeared
in the Daily Astorian. The reporter, Ben Romano did a good job capturing
the essence of the current Forest management controversies in a factual and
objective way. In part three of the series, Mr Romano did an excellent job
of portraying the motorized users perspective.

It's always a little strange reading ones words reconfigured into a news story.
At the least I have to say that the story didn't properly emphasize that the
Cedar Creek / Mongos Crossing bridge was a Lobos Motorcycle Club project.
My efforts were as one of many hard working club members as well as the
bulk of our treasury (you, the riders entry fees).
Finally, thanks to the efforts of several dedicated OHV volunteers at building
partnerships, the Oregon Sate Parks Dept. (Oregon ATV fund administrators) and
the Oregon Dept. of Forestry are both committed to the long term future of OHV
use on Sate lands. So when you have the chance --at the ballot box or just
out in public--do what you can to support these agencies against attack in the
future. If you read the full series of articles you'll see that they'll
need it.
